CORONATION YEAR.
Times may well have been hard in those days but ,given the opportunity, they certainly
knew how to let the boat out as is shown by the festivities arranged for the coronation
of the new King Edward and Queen Alexander. The council moved rapidly to arrange
coronation committees to plan for the day However , as reported in the Pacquet of the
day, all their plans very nearly went astray because of the sudden illness of the King.

FORTUNATELY THE TIMELY RECOVERY OF THE KING MEANT DELAY & ADJUSTMENT RATHER
THAN A FULL SCALE CANCELLATION AND THE PROGRAMME WENT AHEAD.

Quite a programme!!!!!
